I like the happy ending to your poem. Through adversity, the individual gains faith. Excellent use of words and a smooth flow of lines. Many can relate to your words and I wish you well in the contest.

I enjoyed reading and felt your words deeply. I can relate completely. The line "not believing I'd reach thirty my deeds became dirty" was my mindset right before my first health scare. I'd like to share also that I am fond of the last line because I read it as "Christ is 'law of the subconscious mind'" Thank you for sharing. Many blessings to you and your wife. :)

I am very new to FanStory and possibly missed this before my time. I am catching up today in every way. My husband and I went to see fall leaves and visit relatives for a few days. Sally, I just started posting stuff to Fanstory in August. The poem is true, I had a spinal abscess in 2010, which gave me a brand new outlook and had me embrace m,y faith. I hope your visit to see the leaves was fun. I just told my wife this morning that she is loved here on Fanstory because she is in most of my stories. Even the Redemption Road character Roseanna is based on her. I am honored i earned one of your six stars I always appreciate your reviews. Have a blessed day.

You are welcome. I am an August newbie, as well. My husband gave me FanStory for my August birthday! I am going blind with a rare case of retinitis pigmentosa. I have only 4 percent of my central vision. I write like crazy not knowing how much time I have in my low vision world. I assume it will be harder to write fully blinded. I have faith to believe that I will not be completely blind. Anyway, I write like crazy while I can see a bit.
