Your wife is a keeper. Hang onto her. With this poem, you have given the story of many Christians. They start out well, but daily life gets in the way. They change, not for the better. As life goes on, for one reason or another, they realize Christ is Lord. All of us have fallen short. I liked your poem as a whole, but it seemed like you were having to reach for your rhyming. I look forward to reading more of your work.

I changed the artwork credit. As far as the rest of your review, I have no clue what you're talking about with meters and rhyme schemes This was the first poem I ever wrote . I'm a story writer who was called upon to enter a Faith based poem, From what you wrote I can't tell if you liked the piece on not. Nevertheless thank you for taking the time to read and review my work.

The Bible says that an was originally created to be eternal and the desire to live forever is very strong in many people. I believe that people who commit suicide have something turned off within them that makes death more desirable than life. I personally cannot imagine death in place pf life. I would like to live forever, but only if I could do so in a healthy body.
