This one is just such a warm chapter I kept on melting.

I'm so glad Rachel is fine.

I can understand how her mum, like the captain, is always worried about her. You bring that to the reader very clearly - so clearly it makes me worried that something terminal would happen to Rachel. But I know that would be a story killer, right?

And I hope Luigi doesn't get to her again.

Brilliant work, my friend.

Hope all is well with you and yours.

I think this is the first time I learnt as a reader that Rachel's parents are divorced and that her father is a judge. Interesting.

Thank you so much for such a fabulous review and all of your high praise, that means so much to me. Killing off Rachel would be like killing my best friend, she's been such a huge part of my stories for the past five years. Joe and Jerry too. Luigi is going to try, but... I'll leave it at that, don't want to spoil the story. I don't believe I mentioned Rachel's parents much until now. Max is a district attorney, not a judge. Was thinking about doing a bio on my characters but hadn't gotten around to it. Maybe I should.
Everything is fine here Grandkids are growing, kids, giving me grief about my age. I'd probably think something is wrong if they didn't, lol. Thank you for asking. Hope all is well with you.

Of course her mom is worried. This is her little girl, and they never "grow up" in a mother's eyes. Mom's right, too. This is no job for a woman. Men are naturally risk takers, so let them take chances... and take her job! Of course, I can't make her feel as I do. She has to do what feels right for HER. You expressed that very well. :)

Oh dear. Now Leo knows Rachel is alive and her life is again in danger. I don't blame her mom for wanting her to be a nurse instead. I have a friend who is a policeman, well he's a detective now, but still on the SWAT team. You can't help but worry about them. Looking forward to the next chapter. Rox

The thing I like about reading your crime mystery story is how you get me where I feel like I'm present listing to Rachel and her mother Jeanie.
And the feeling of tension when I read how Luigi want to make Rachel die a slow painful death.

You really know how to write an intriguing mystery/crime drama story. Periodically, I read your stories although I do not always get a chance to review them. I am on the site so little.

In this chapter, you painted a picture of concerned parents of someone who works in law enforcement.

After reading this chapter, I somewhat wish Rachel would consider nursing, too.

So Luigi failed in his attempt to kill Rachel, all she got was a bloodied head, and a thump from the bullet hitting her vest. Meanwhile Jeannie is very worried by Rachel's police activities and urges her daughter to change back to nursing. Jerry and Jeff, are told by Joe to stay put. Well done, excellent episode, blessings, Roy
