Thank you for your delightful review. I'm so glad you are enjoying it. The previous few chapters were about Bea trying to ward off two terrible cats. Which in my real life I called Gnasher & Slasher" They held both me & Scruffles hostage on my back deck. So Bea tries to protect Scruffles who got really attacked by the gnasher aka Sam. She tries water but it doesn't really bother him.

Oh dear. I know feral cats, especially, can be quite a handful if they think there is no escape. It's probably just as dangerous to be caught in between two fighting cats as it is dogs. Your story about Bea is just great. Marilyn

You might want to check "Even helpful if she was having a difficult time, was sad, frustrated, angry, tired, disappointed or her FEARS were growing." as it doesn't seem like a full sentence and doesn't flow well for me.

I'm enjoying Bea's story very much. I love the idea of the Maker and Bea's asking... and waiting for a response. So many of us want instant answers!

You are right about that line you caught. I tried to chop it up. It was part of a long long run-on & it's still not right. I will take another run with it. Thank you for the honest review. I'm glad you are enjoying it.

I was not at all surprised reading your biography to find that you have written the curricula for grade 6 to 8 students. That sure explained the depth of understanding the author showed of that age group's reading genre.
A very sweet (partial) tale with well personified creatures as the stars of the show. The editing also looks quite professional and the presentation splendid.

When you describe be eating there honey... And getting a bit of a tummy and it moving down into her legs gave me such a vivid picture of this Tubby little bear, and then when the others started making fun of her, made me very sad. But I'm glad Sam is out of the way so scrap else can enjoy life a bit more :-) this was a sweet chapter.

When you describe be eating there honey... And getting a bit of a tummy and it moving down into her legs gave me such a vivid picture of this Tubby little bear, and then when the others started making fun of her, made me very sad. But I'm glad Sam is out of the way so scrap else can enjoy life a bit more :-) this was a sweet chapter.

I like the spiritual truths that you have woven in this chapter, Liz! So often we do the exercise of "talking" to our Maker but neglect to "listen" and when Bea does listen, she receives peace. Such a meaningful message for us today!

Thank you for sharing. So Bea is an emotional eater. Does Bea develop insulin resistance and have weight issues well into middle age? The story here sounds a bit like veiled allegory. I am curious what the main plot is, but admittedly it is hard keeping track of so many stories at once.

Thank you for your extended review. This whole book actually is quite autobiographical. It wasn't honey, but pretty well anything with sugar in it. Especially the assuaging piece of cake which was almost always there when I came home from school. My mother may have figured out something or it was a coincidence. If she didn't frost the cake, it lasted all day If she frosted the cake, it was gone in an hour. At 71, I am in excellent health. I'm glad you're enjoying the story.
