Hi Craig,

"Manusculpt" ... the meaning is quite apparent in this particular word. This was a unique idea for a write for the 20 syllable contest. Your syllable count is spot on, and I really like the example of Exodus to help convey the meaning of this word. Perfect pairing of picture and poem to complement your write!

Good luck in the contest with this little gem!

Hugs,
Connie

This is an awesome write, sir -- have to wonder how many folks thought of this before now.... (or at least those of us out here in the unwashed masses - LOL!). To be honest, I think you've chosen a really great pic to complete your presentation -- it works well with serious subject matter in a small format. :) ;) :)

Thank you for sharing (and combining our word today with a contest!!) and good luck! :) :) Yvette

Craig, Not only is this a great 20 syllable poem but very informative as well. You used great words and very good imagery. Best wishes in the contest. Blessings, Teri

Very clever - I like the way you've still managed to weave in your word-of-the-day. Manusculpt is such a wonderful word - I've never seen it before, but can still infer its meaning from the root words. It fit within your poem perfectly too. Well done, my friend.

I tend to think of it as having the same meaning as "manscaping", which brings a bit of a chuckle. Many thanks, Robbie -- Craig

As far as mnemonic devices, this is your best. Did you ever think of doing SAT review mnemonics? With three children that went to college, my house is full of them-Kaplan. Princeton, etc. We have games, flashcards, picture books, musical tapes, crossword puzzle books. . .. All tried to help cement vocabulary words in high school minds. What you do is so much better than anything that I bought.
Obviously, I think that this poem is a very clever idea. I like how you used Exodus Twenty. Those 5 syllables took care of a lot for you. And, I like the tongue in cheek nature of the entire piece. Well done entry.

I have no idea of what would be involved in doing that, or even where I would being investigating how to go about it. Still, it sounds like a great idea, I could use a bit extra gainful employment :) I'm very grateful for the most kind comments, Debbie, you are very generous -- Craig

I know teachers who sell online lesson plans. All the school districts that I have worked for use them. You could sell online SAT pneumonics.

I might have to look into that. Thanks, Debbie :)
