This is a nicely formatted nature poem. I am glad you chose a unique topic (animals/nature)...they go hand-in-hand with wolves. I hope you do well in the contest.

This nature 5-7-5, Listen, has the right set up and calls the reader to imagine the pitch of this wolves individual howlers. "You're singing with the melody again, Mitch. Be our tenor"

This is a wonderful commentary of the beauty of nature. Thirteen syllables aren't a lot when you're trying to express something so vast, but you managed it :-) I think the howling of wolves is one of the most beautiful and mournful sounds I've ever heard.
I also really like the picture you chose to go with it.

I like this excellent haiku about nature with some of its major predators heralding they are here and watching with a song. Authors, much more than poets, pen words about wolves. You have added a great picture coupling its vision with your words. Well done.

Quite a nice Haiku. Reading this makes me want to hear the rest of the larger piece that is in the works. There is geat mental imagery associated with the lines though. Well done!

Certainly follows the 5-7-5 rule and evokes an image, and sounds. Living on the edge of an eastern forest I've often heard the songs of coyotes but the wolves no longer inhabit these regions. Must be awesome to hear their songs. Well done, author. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you Adri7enne for the excellent rating and kind comments. I am truly humbled. We mostly have coyotes here. My experience and inspiration comes from when I used to raise them, though most weren't full blood a few of them were.
