Okay, I'm hooked. I'm also in for a wild ride. The basis of this story is captivating and different from my usual easy-going mystery and crime reading. I'm glad I don't have to wait a week for the next chapters.

A very well-written and exciting post. You capture your reader from beginning to end. A little timely with a call to execute the former Joint Chief of Staff for treason.
Great action and character description. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Best wishes,
Mary

I don't know if this is meant to be some kind of parable but it sure sounds like one. I think the friends of the late president have all found disfavor with him and he like to see them all eliminated by whatever means. He believes in public execution if you don't agree him.

Goodness. Very Hunger Games, but your writing makes it your own thoroughly exciting post and prelude to what I hope will be many more. Excellent description and the character and plot sound fascinating. Well done. I look forward to more.

Thank you, John. The story is already complete, and I will try to re-promote them as the coin comes available.

It sounds like there is only one man to kill here, and that is the man in charge! There is a poignant message here and it reveals a Dictator at the helm, love Dolly x

Wow! I know I'm going to love this story. I'm hooked already. Those killed were the President's friends. The president must be Bill Clinton! Looking forward to what happens next.

Now this is interesting . This is setting stuff up, now I can read the others. My wifi has been going in and out today. Driving me nuts. Can't set up the new printer without good internet. I am losing my mind.

I'm glad you led me to this story, Bill. What an exciting beginning! I can't think of a better start to pull a reader in.
Now we follow Ben to see if he manages to kill the others, or will he be killed. Loved it! :)) Sandra xx

I need to tweak this prologue to better align with the eventual conclusion. I would need to reveal spoilers here to show you.

A frightening premise and a little too real, I would say as a I would not put much past the administration we have now! Will try to get to reading some more.
