Like the ending "posteri---". Can see the finality of all as the sun goes out. Adds a nice touch to this well crafted story. Good luck in this contest.

Our fireball sun gives us warmth, light and sometimes burns us, your words are questioning and there is so much for us to yet learn about the solar system, an interesting dribble, love Dolly x

Um. I guess he never got to finish that sentence. From the description it doesn't sound like a video game. It must be the end of the world. And it ends quite ironically as there would be no posterity to document this for.

Right. I often imagine no one nowadays takes much of anything seriously because they can just reboot and start again. Reality has taken a backseat to the surreal and ridiculous.

Hi Bill. This seems like a good entry for the contest. I guess the last word is posterity. Why the dashes? But I read the airplanes pop as airplane's poop. Lol. Good luck in the contest. Thank you for sharing

The dashes represent the flash ending. Thinking that there'll be a show if the sun supernovas is a bit silly. the Earth will vaporize in a heartbeat-- in mid thought.

And then "BANG" and it all went dark. What happened then?? The world dissolved into a haze of minuscule fragments, but did Humanity die with it? Did some fragment of Consciousness survive the destruction to evolve into another life form?
Or was there just a great echoing silence that followed the echo of the sound of Earth's sun dying? We'll never know will we William? cheers Cass

Wow! Thanks, Cass, for the exceptional review. I think we all now live our lives thinking that its all a movie we can rewind and watch again. Bill

Verrry good! Caught me off guard. I guess he really was waiting for the sun to explode. It appears that he was vaporized.

Stars do explode. I wonder if scientists can predict which ones will and when. Sure hope our is not planning suicide any time soon. :)

Apparently, you were vaporized before you could finish. Great ending that really makes a point.

Hopefully, it will never come to that. Good dribble. I wish you luck in the contest.

Haha. . . . poof. . . . and he's gone. Gone job, Bill with your contest entry. You told a great little story in 50 word as required. Your picture is a good pairing with your words. Good job & best wishes. Jan
