Hahahahahaha, Bill, where on earth do you get it from? A wonderful conversation for cross purposes. That Ned is daft as a brush. I love it. All the best. Ulla:))

Yeah, you may be right. We'll see. :)

Ned has never failed to give me a case of the giggles. This poor fool has an abundance of absurdities that he never hesitates to pew without invitation or provocations. He just opens up and lets them fly, and that is why he is my go to guy for laughs.

Thanks, nomi. I really need to squint to get Ned to say some of the stuff he says.

Clever names for the restaurants. LOL (and barf too) at the lines about eating roaches as part of house cleaning. The pair are clueless when it comes to names--and so gullible.

You did a good job, Bill, with your story. It seems Pons is forever the fool. I like how the waiter, Gunter, played into the scene. Your picture is a good choice. Your lines read smoothly with a lot of sarcasm. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Thanks, Jan, for giving this a look. Bill

Ya know, Bill, I'm really surprised that someone hasn't shot, stabbed, beaten, or strangled Ned to death by now. Especially Pons, poor guy.
Of course even if someone did attempt to do Ned bodily harm he'd think they were just tryin' to Gator grapple and put the dude down faster than Donald Trump at a Hillary Clinton Rally.
Funny stuff, bill, as usual!

Thanks, Dean. One day I'll probably have to have a Ned's Murder scene. Pons will be the likely suspect, along with everyone else.

Oh dear, it's a wonder that Pons agrees to meet Ned anywhere. Fun little conversation here, Bill. It didn't sound like any Red Lobster I'd been to and poor Pons, with such a weak stomach shouldn't go there!

Pons needs to check his genetic tree to see if he and Ned are really related.

Hi Bill. I must be missing something. I recognize the names of the characters Ned and Pons but do not understand the context of this story. Is one a slob? Thank you for sharing

Pons is the regular guy and Ned is a dim bulb.

It's late in the week and I have a batch of unused sixes, so I thought I'd give one to my favorite cousins. No matter what someone tells him, Ned doesn't get it... I love that! LOL!

Ned is quite dim.

Gunter sounds awfully hoity toity to work at the Red Lobster. He sounds like strictly a white tablecloth restaurant greeter. Great fun with his name. Ned seems in over his head, even at the Red Lobster. Funny names of other eateries mentioned. Fun that Ned says he haunts some of the other restaurants mentioned "like a ghost." Very enjoyable, and Ned is his usual clueless self. He does seem to have a good time, though. judi

Thanks, Judi. Ned does seem to stay dim.

The pair would be great in a sports dialogue, kind of like ".Who's on First" that Abbott and Costello did. judi

I had a hard time deciphering your dialect. All the "How to" writing books I've read really discourage trying to duplicate dialect through weird spelling like this. Anyway, when I got it translated it still didn't seem to have a point. Maybe I just didn't get your humor in this piece, Bill. Maybe next time.
