I enjoyed your well-written poem about your cloud, Pam. I like the fun way you described cloud shape you imagined. Then you wrote about your cloud covering you in a tomb. It is as if your cloud descended onto you as a shroud. It is a bit dark, but not without hope. Good job & thanks for sharing. Jan

You surprised me with a twist at the end of your poem, very clever and creative. I like your descriptions of the various clouds, we can see just about anything in the clouds, I enjoy looking at them. Your poetic form tells a story and is an excellent fantasy poem.

It's a little dark and gloomy but I like that. Very imaginative, imagery that paints a picture. I like the line about the hippo shaped cloud filling up with rain. Personally I'd rather be up there in the clouds (heaven) rather then imagining them from the grave but thats just me.

Oh my, I really like this piece - in a querky way! You write verse well and I like the rhythm. From time to time it is good to read something that is not all 'hearts and flowers. I belong to the Cloud Appreciation Society, so this is particularly meaningful for me. (sorry only have 5 stars left).

I like your dreams and thoughts on clouds because they can bring us great comfort. They look so soft and pure, and just beautiful. I have spent many hours on a beach or in my back garden laid out just staring up at the sky and seeing what shapes the clouds turn into. I appreciate the place from which this piece was written- it is dark and quite sad but also quite peaceful and I hope it brought you comfort to write it x

Ha, I love your question mark cloud, Pam.

I actually like the tone of the work, and find it an imaginative exploration of the thought process. And written up in your excellent metre and rhyme and most unique style.

Excellent work.

Ok, then ... I read that one twice. The end is really the only 'dark' piece that I could see, but yeah, um....how'd you conjure this gem, LOL! What made ya go there? You are very versatile and your subject matter is, shall I say, always interesting and insightful :) The rhyme as usual is impeccable and genuine and the image is perfect. I do, however, think you need to get this one to a good manicurist...gotta look your best. You never know when that cloud will part and something positive might be waiting on the other side...hehe

and for the record, I see a question mark! Just saying - haha

It is melancholic but I also love looking at clouds and I enjoyed imagining the cloud shapes with you in this poem. It's also symbolic of that nebulous feeling we have about the spirit world so I think it's well done. Hugs!

Intriguing take on the shroud! I have to admit you took me by surprise with that sharp right turn...a good thing, I'd say--to keep a reader on their toes! So opposite of the generally cliche' and happy "that cloud looks like a puppy" scene that it makes the prospect of death all the more impactful.
