This eighty-word story, Forever War, finds that the War to End All Wars was only to be followed by WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Beirut, Desert Storm, Somalia, 9-11, Afghanistan, The Iraq War, and now the new Cold War. Yes, Emily, there really is no Santa Claus.
