This is such a cute story. It is also very believable...children are so innocent and could really care a less about a naked body. Most young children have absolutely no concept of privacy and this story made me think of several uncomfortable situations with my children and grandchildren. :) The surprise element was definitely there, but mostly, it made me smile. Good job!!

SURPRISE...don't forget those earrings! What a great ending! And, one that I did not expect. Cute story and you did a wonderful job in expressing details in under 80 words. A solid entry for this contest. Good luck.

Hi Cindy!Thank you so very much for reading and for the sweet review! This is just such a funny memory for me!... i was telling a friend of mine, that I used to make earrings. My son loved to "help"..I think he just loved seeing me wear them. but still, lol perfect timing! never expected that! haha

Excellent response to the prompt. Surprise is 80 words.
God Bless little Danny, who viewed the situation from
his innocent blue eyes. The mother's reaction over-reactive.
Passes the 'truth test' for me.
Best of luck.
Peace, Lee

This eighty-word story, Little Boys, sounds just about right for what little tots think they've discovered. I still recall walking in on my aunt and uncle in their undies going wild. I figured they were getting each other dressed. I may still think that.

I completely related to this story, being a mother myself. It's always amazing what they notice. My youngest son was in his late teens when he busted me using instant potatoes. He was so shocked he could hardly speak, lol.
Very well written and definitely gave me a laugh.
Best of luck to you in the contest,

What a charming surprise. I'll have to remember to utilize a child's words next time that I need a surprise ending. Your photo and conclusion make this piece work. It is delightful. Good luck in the competition.

Ha! Apparently you wore earrings so regularly that young Danny considered them an essential recognition feature of your face. It is a tribute to the way you raised him that nothing else about your appearance at that moment seemed more worthy of comment. Certainly, no harm was done. Only adults see the humor in this episode. Superb, and delightfully illustrated.

This is hilarious. This is an excellent entry in the contest. According to my personal psychic advisor, who by the way, is the smartest chimp on earth, you will win and send me half the funny money. Thanks in advance.

Your personal advisor is a chimp? This explains a lot.
