This was really a beautiful write, April Violet. I can feel what you're saying in this one. The last line was really astounding and truly poetic. Great job.

What a touching tribute to your loved one. Yes, the memories can be sparked at the sight of something familiar, a scent, a song, or merely when we our mind is quiet and we are in tuned...they let us know they're aware and guarding us from higher sights. Wonderful 20 syllable write, april. I found no errors. Perfect syllable count and wonderful presentation. Strong, yet poignant message. Well done and good luck.

What a beautiful entry for this contest. I love the 'wisp of a memory'...it underlines

A very well-written twenty syllable poem. We often thinks we will never remember every detail of our life. When we least expect it, a memory of years ago will suddenly pop up and we can remember every detail.

Excellent. The message is so true. Since I've joined Fan Story this has happened many times. A word or phrase from a writer pulls out a memory from my distant past. Very good. Great photo. Hugh

This is a good poem/tribute to the memory of your lost loved one. April. Good job on the syllable count. The picture is a great pairing as it reminds me of thoughts, loves, wishes, memories floating to Heaven when released by the loved one left on Earth. Best wishes in the contest. Jan

Your words are true. It is amazing what nostalgia may be sparked in the most seemingly insignificant moment. I for one am constantly trying to outrun memories I desire to bury. Not all are best to look back on I suppose.

I love your photo choice, that makes this piece a bit more personal which is nice!

Yes, there are all sorts of sparks for remembering things that happened many tears ago. I find that smell is a very strong memory prompt, but the senses also, hearing a song is a strong one. Beautifully written and presented, good accurate entry, good luck, blessings, Roy
