Thanks so much for reading my fellow Aussie. Things are grim, the worst we have seen, even on the coast where we live in Queensland. Bless you, Kay.

Yes I agree I am not far away ( Airlie Beach) even here it is a bit grim****kahpot

Because you're using commas, I'd add one after hard, to set off drought, and Mother Nature cries. It will have your desired effect I think ;-) an excellent entry into the contest. Love that I learned something, too. Good luck. Janelle

Hello my friend, thanks for reading and editing. We are in dire straits. Never seen the country so dry. I live on the coast and we are in trouble too. Blessings, Kay.

This is a marvelous entry for this Six Word Poetry Contest and one I can relate to. We are having a drought but nothing as bad as yours. We get twenty to thirty minute down pours every couple of months. Our annual rainy season seems to have taken a five-year vacation. But at least we get some rain. I wish you all the best in this contest too.

Yes, the weather has changed all over the world my friend. Even in Sweden...bushfires! They had to call on Europe for firefighters. XX Kay. Thanks for reading.

I am so sorry for ther dilemma your country is experiencing, Aussie. Your 6 words, as required, tell a sad, but true, tale of the lack of water. I like the personification of Mother Nature. Several years ago on one of our on-going droughts the ranchers did the same with their cattle. Also, the men would use a flame thrower to burn the spines off cactus so the livestock could eat it. We are in a drought here, too. It really is tough. I agree. The Creator is in control. Take care. Jan

Your six word poem captures the impact of the drought. Mother Nature does indeed cry. I hope it rains soon, I feel bad for the people and animals. A drought is a hard thing to go through.

I saw that on the news yesterday. Surly the skies will open up for you soon. Weather patterns are hard to understand. Good luck in the contest and with the rain. You said a lot in a few words. :) Nancy

A very well-written six-word poem. In times of drought we realize the value of water in our lives and how important a good rain shower is that we often think is untimely.

We wait in joyful hope for the coming of the spirit (Bible) God knows our needs I think he is sleeping somehow. Worst drought in 100 yrs. Thank you for reading. Love, Kay.

Wow, how devastating, I truly feel for those poor animals. You managed to say a lot in those tiny six words, I hope you do or did well in the contest. The picture sort of brought the words together portraying the free flow of water yet none available. Thanks for sharing.

That picture and your words go together perfectly, Kay! It's nature at it's best, yet desperate for a top-up. Well done, my friend. Graham loves waterfalls, I'll show him this and your words. Good luck in the contest, I think it's a very strong entry. :) Sandra xxxx

Oh my land, that does sound bad K. Droughts are horrid and it takes a long time to recover from them, if one every does.

This is a fine entry into the six word poetry contest and I wish you great good luck. :)

Hi Gloria! I think the way the weather is going, eventually we will have to buy meat from overseas. We export to the US and kangaroo started off as pet food, now it is for human consumption! I won't eat our marsupials, apparently roo meat is lean and good for you - good luck with that. I think I'm becoming a vegetarian, grow some veg but our severe winter has knocked our garden around and we are hand watering. Thank you for reading my six little lines. Love, Kay.
