Patricia, This is a very well written Etheree poem you have penned about wisdom from the 80 year old mother. You used very nice imagery with the pretty art work and very good words that we so true. I enjoyed reading and reviewing it. love, Teri

These are great words to remember. You're so right, a child learns by example, reacting to their upbringing accordingly. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Lovely! I can't quite tell what type of poem this is. Start at 1 syllable and add one for each line?
In any case, it's a lovely piece. You've spoken the truth from the beginning. If a mother "is wise", then she will first of all love her child without conditions.
I love that! Nicely-put and well-worded.

Motherly love and wisdom is a driving force of life. More so than many know. I miss my mother's wise words. :) Yet, they linger and I listen for her "voice." This is a well-written poem with a beautiful message.

These words embrace, as well as project, an eternal truism related to authentic motherhood. Anyone reading this particular quote should show no hesitation in reciting these words verbatim at any maternal gathering.

This poet does an excellent job of structuring the words of this poem. Each of the ten lines have a syllable count increasing by one in each line. The wise saying of the mother in the poem is more needed today, in our scattered families, than anytime in our history. Well done.

You are welcome. Don't worry about being late. I had eye problems from cataracts. That plagued me for a while.

Your poem speaks for itself. It is true. Although we teach our children as much as we can of what is good and right, it is up to them to find their way in the world and beyond that. Love unconditionally gives room to grow and learn. Great poem.
