All the guidance we need to live in peace is offered in God's Holy Word. The Golden Rule is the best example of treating each other equally. I think your posting is spot on and I hope it is read by lots and lots of people. Thank you for sharing this!

Living on Earth better is what we should all strive to do. I thoroughly enjoyed this 60 word sentence. I particularly like the parts about not misusing resources (human and natural). If only mankind would respect what God has given us by giving us this Earth to live on, how wonderful that would be. I know that was from a prior contest. I hope you did well... you deserved to win. Thank you for this. It was excellent. -January L.

I like your story showing how man is to be the caretaker of the gift of the planet on which we live. And, that true profit comes from knowing God and doing His will. Good artwork choice for your theme. Enjoyed!

You've given a big order in your poem - to live carefully and care for all of nature and the earth. WE are wasteful at times - careless other times - so your poem is a good reminder.

This poem reminds me of the three wise monkeys:
See no evil
Hear no evil
Speak no evil
Words to try to live by.
Nice going, Alcreator Litt Dear.
And good luck in the contest.

The last part of it reminds me of John Wayne's philosophy in the Shootist. I think you came up with some wonderful words to live by. Good luck in the contest.

I like the beginning of the verse where you say it is profitable to be in the word of God. I can think of nothing more profitable. I sense in the remainder of the verse that behavior must be a result of what we learn from the word of God. I would have to agree entirely that learning the precepts of God and then practicing them is a successful formula..

Hello again Alcreator, This is very well said. I can't find any fault at all with the sentiment. It feels a teeny bit awkward near the end, "incur no loss of human and natural resources," you may want to change it to, "incur no loss of humanity or natural resources," I think it may read better. In any case you did a really good job! Susan
