Hi, Craig,

Hmmm. I will take three guesses and the first two don't count. Lol. Yes, the USA really has been dealt a kilter. We are standing in the great poker game of life with little more than a pair of deuces, and everyone else is sitting on at least one pair of high face cards.

Oy,

~patty~

Good limerick form, Craig. Yep, politically, it seems like that no matter who's in office. But sadly, of late, it's perplexing that there's continued support despite overt lies and deception.

Thanks very much, Helen. Sadly, a great many people believe what they choose to believe, and no amount of evidence to the contrary will get them to change their opinion. There are those who are expert at milking that for all it's worth.

I couldn't agree with you more on this one. FanStory members from across the globe are having so much fun with the kelter that we dealt ourselves. Or, with the kelter that the Russians dealt us.

You're right, a lot of people are poking fun at this doofus, Debbie. But, to be honest, I don't really think many are laughing. They don't enjoy the pain the US is going through, because one way or another it affects everyone. Cheers, Craig

It's about time someone wrote a Limerick about Jethro Trudeau. He's doing his level best, but ya just gotta play the hand you're dealt even if it's a kelter. Finally my stupid auto-correct didn't change that to kilter.

Excellent and timely post, Craig. :)

A very well-written Limerick. I know who you are talking about and I normally don't review poetry or stories that make him look like a joker, in my opinion it is the first leader who truly wants to improve his country and its citizens instead of following the elite's agenda.

Not you too? Oh dear. Well, he doesn't need any help to look like a joker. Thanks for making an exception, Sandra. But if they really offend you, feel free to skip :)

Hi, Craig.

I read through your limerick poem featuring the word of the day. The theme of kelter giving the sense of being dealt a crappy hand. In this case, it could be said, the hand's so kelter, even the cards don't want to be in the deck.

I like the helter-skelter/ dealt a kelter ryhme here, even though there is such similarity between skelter/ kelter. The Helter/ dealt aspects in the rhyme do really well to my ears.

On content, some days I feel the entire deck is full of jokers.

LOL a very well made point about the cards wanting out, Turtle. Also, about the jokers. Rest assured, our deck has its fair share of jokers as well, but somehow they just don't stand out to the same degree. I guess there is less of a spotlight on them. Most grateful, Craig

Me too. Though in my poker playing days, it was generally the really good hands that got me into trouble, not the crappy ones. Many thanks -- Craig

The use of the word is perfectly done and I love the poetry style and truth, you told it like it really is with the willy-nilly way things have been done. Nice one

hahaha, somehow I suspect it may have been more fun pre-TV. When the book is finished, I will breathe a huge sigh of relief, promise never again to commit myself to 365 days straight of publishing something every day, and go back to writing when the mood takes me lol Many thanks, Jenny.

He he he, I think we all know who you are talking about here and this is a fun limerick to include your new word kelter, a word I have heard before and you used it in your unique poem, love Dolly x
