IN this you are wrong. You certainly had a choice NOT to donate, but your heart told you (I speak from experience here) that in suffering this loss something good may come from it--to donate Jason's organs was to save lives of others who may well have died.
I am always heartbroken for your loss (your losses, as your wife also passed since Jason's death)--but really I am proud of you for not drowning int he sea of grief and for advocating with EVERY POST the incredibly unselfish act of deciding to donate organs of those who pass to God, or leaving instructions to donate our own organs.
Here in Massachusetts we can elect to designate ourselves as organ donors and have that stated on our driver's licenses. After my Mom died and the donation of her kidneys, corneas and skin saved lives I made my decision and have been a designated organ donor since then (1983)---
Jason lives on not only in your heart but in the lives of those your decision made.

What a very special poem. Your emotions are honest and raw. I am sorry for your loss. Your photo and your words are very powerful. Writing is a great tool for healing, as is our faith. :)

This is a very good piece full of information and yet full of terrifying emotion at the same time. Love the wording and the underlying feeling you put into it.

I absolutely love your style of writing. You express so much and it all flows lyrically. Your pain is tempered with such beauty.
I'm so very sorry for your loss. Forgive me if I'm being repetitive. I have severe memory problems.

This is a poem of faith about the soul leaving the body and finding solace with God in heaven. I like the little conversation between the soul and God.
