Excellent job with a difficult format. I love the antonyms pizzazz and indifference. Seldom do I see pizzazz in a poem. I like how the first and second lines tie together and the third and fourth lines match. Very tightly written poem (I mean that in a good way). Hugh

Thank you so very much for your review, Hugh -- I truly appreciate your taking the time to review my work! :) :) Being the nerd that I am, I kinda tend to have whispers of mathematics in my writing -- the definition of a "complement" is that which is necessary to add to something to make it "whole" or a set "complete". So, although the poem was to be antonyms, I chose the yin/yang symbol.....can't know pizzazz if you didn't know indifference and you certainly don't know indifference if you don't know pizzazz -- lol!!! Kinda goes for all the antonyms....yeah, I freely admit it, I am a nerd. :) :) Many thanx for those lovely stars! :) :) Have a wonderful weekend filled with sunshine and cool breezes! :)

Yes, I suppose indifference is the antonym of pizzazz, and your two middle lines make that comparison very nicely! A good entry for the contest - good luck!

Excellent antonym poem! I like how you included the picture of the symbol. The words for me felt psychedelic. I like this poem very much. Interesting.

Wow, this is a great entry for this contest, IMHO. You've chosen rather uncommon words, and made the best possible use of them. I've been absent from the site a lot this past week - I hope it did well in the booth! (Or is the vote coming up?)

Oh, for heaven's sake -- I'm such a ditz!! Please, please forgive -- my very first sentence there is my standard response to reviews from folks I don't know.....I just write it once and use it for the one or two reviews in my review inbox and usually "that's it" for folks (reviewers) that I don't know or of whom I am not familiar. I then, of course, add much more conversation/sentences/etc to the few folks that I actually do know (well, okay, "know" being the online equivalent here, but I think you understand the jist of that usage)...it just seems that my BLONDE slipped up in this case and forgot to change the name cuz I was so excited and interested in adding all of the rest of conversation (ramblings!!) with you: simply clicked "paste" and then I was off and running with my paragraph or more there....I'm sure it had to do, as well, with the fact that I was NOT looking forward to starting to deal with teacher stuff again...ugh. :/ :/ Please accept my humblest apologies, Dawn. :( ;( ;( :(

Very unique contest entry - Pizzazz versus indifference. One brightens and the other blinds. Yin and Yang. Must be an ancient symbol of personality difference. Best of luck in the contest with this thought-provoking piece. Blessings to you, Linda

Hmmm, this one is interesting and made me think. Yep, those are antonyms. Very different from other entries in the contest. Love the image, title, and the work itself. I wouldn't change a thing. Good luck in the contest.

Excellent Antonym poem. I like the polar opposites of 'Pizzazz' and 'indifference'. I like the title and the line above the title. I love the message. You are so right. When you refer to "it" I'm assuming you mean one's personality. But there could be several meanings when I think about it. I love your choice of words to describe the two opposites of Yin and Yang. The artwork is amazing and adds much to the presentation. Thank you for your enlightening poem.
Take care, Jesse

You sound like a delightful person, whether you call yourself a 'nerd' or not. My dad was a mathematician, so I understand. I think pizzazz and indifference are two opposites, totally. I truly enjoyed your poem and your response. I hope you enjoy your weekend, as well.

I believe the poem is written well, however, I'm not sure about "indifference" being a good antonym for "pizzazz". It can be if you stretch it a bit, but "dull" or something similar would be more appropriate. Just my opinion.

Thank you very much for your review, sir, I do so appreciate all critique and dialogue. :) :) I think, perhaps, I can see where you're belief of the two not being true antonyms if the words are viewed as objects -- yes, you are correct! :) ;) Since I was talking about my brother's and my attitudes toward just about anything (tried to get that across on the tag line), I guess I see them as antonyms: he will always see everything through the eyes of indifference and "whatever!" (his favorite word most of the time!) and I will always see the same through brightness and pizzazz. :) ;) :) Will have to do a little better conveying that view next time....c'est la vie!! :) :) Thank you again for the time you took to read and to analyze my work -- so very much appreciated!! :) :) Have a wonderful remainder of the week! :) :)

Liked this a lot. Contest rules were followed and I like the image included. It's quite eye catching, both the words and the colors.I like the ying and yang reference because that's all about being opposite. Best of luck in the contest.
