How beautiful. I know my father, who passed this year, always loved me, but he never expressed it in words like that, although he expressed it in action. What a different take on a love poem, and the rhymes - simple, direct and to the point - work well. You (and your daughter) should be proud.

Your words are honest, sincere and open to the heart. When you lose someone that is so dear, there is not much to be said that can help. But having someone with you, your daughter, who braces you when you feel lost, I can only believe that is something that someone is very lucky to have. I wish you well.

This is such a loving, tender, reflective and emotional poem, that is laced with melancholy... It speaks of the tremendous losses you have suffered, and endured.. and how the loving heart of your daughter, lends a healing hand to help support you and sooth your brow, when furrowed by sadness, anger or loneliness... Your daughter sounds like a true angel of mercy -- and I can hear and feel the deep and abiding love you have in your heart for her --- I am so sorry for your loss, but as your daughter innately intuits she knows that "...When I am down and wish to cry,
feel sad, feel mad and all alone
she lifts me, guides me, makes me try
to seek in life a better tone." It is our tone in life, our attitude that will help sustain us, when we are challenged or depressed --- having an 'attitude of gratitude' and a loving heart will help you heal, and could ultimately reveal to you, that others in this world needs you, your gifts, talents and heart, and that your life continues to have purpose and promise... but sometimes, we just need someone who loves us, to help us see that... your daughter sounds like she is your earth-angel, and will be there with you and for you on this next phase of your life's journey... blessings...
