of this woman and her feelings.

Hi Donette,
Thank you for the kind comments!!!
Comment from Dorothy Farrell
Hi Loannalois, Oh this is such a sad poem. It tells of the tree that is dying 'Yes, for one more spring;' The last stanza has a finality about it - both the tree and the loved one 'speak' only from above. Both gone and she is alone. Your author notes elaborate on the words in the poem - giving the whole a convincing truth. Lovely poem. Warm regards Dorothy xx

This is wonderfully written and the picture is perfect. I can feel the pain of loss in every word, still trying to find spring again and be reborn. At the first of the year, I thought I was saying goodbye, but God gave her back to me. I was lucky. I wish I had six left.
Have a great day and God bless.

"Goodbyes" bring a flow of emotions or words but those don't take away the sadness. This poem speaks of memory that seems to always stay where it should be. And of a voice from above that transcends human feelings.

Life can be a bummer and often is. People will tell you, "you'll get over it" but you never really do. I'm pretty old and there are places and things that bring back memories that are both happy and sad. I try to go with the happy but it doesn't always work. I just hope there are more days with the former rather than the latter. Best wishes.

A beautifully expressed and deeply poignant and sad writing of this fine example of "feelings on paper". Yes, it's hard not to walk or go where one once walked with a departed dear one, I wonderf doing something different is the answer, it's a tough one. Well done, blessings, Roy

Comment from Gloria ....
I very much enjoy your free verse poem about saying goodbye. So true that if the memories are too vivid one must shuffle them off into somewhere for future reference.
a love work of art and many thanks for sharing.

This is a sad poem well written. It creates great imagery in short lines. The color scheme & picture work well with you poignant words. The woman & the tree seem connected in a way that many would not understand. Good job & thanks for sharing. Jan
