Yes, time really flies when you're having fun. I admired your alliteration of "s's" that intensified your message. Enjoy the rest of the summer and best wishes in the contest- Joan

Rod,
Great presentation. I enjoyed the beautiful message--though I do not like being reminded that my youngest will soon be back off to college. Yuck!
The whole post was delightful-from the image to the font and color choices.
Much good luck to you!

I talked to a neighbor today who said how much she will hate to see her youngest return to college only too soon. I am delighted you enjoyed my poem and I truly appreciate your kind praise, robyn.

This twenty-five-syllable poem, As Summer Fades, uses eighteen words and four lines to bring the sad reality to us that summer is a time of fleeting opportunities which, like our lives, passes quickly with no more days.

This poem is nicely composed and illustrated. Summer does seem to fly by too soon. Does time go faster when we're enjoying ourselves? Seems so. Good luck in the contest with this nice entry. Marilyn

Hello!
Simply exquisite! In 25 syllables you have created a lasting visual and emotive poetic offering that is powerful without an attached photograph! No easy feat!
Thank you for sharing!

Oh yes how swiftly those summer days fade - well portrayed here in this twenty five syllable poem reminding us simultaneously of how short life itself can be
