A fun write and I prefer guinea pigs. The artwork is cute and your words are not at all boring but clever and amusing, good luck, best wishes, love Dolly x

I'd have to agree. Even the Gerbils look bored with one another. Come to think of it, has there even been any gerbil news lately? I believe they are eligible to be entered in the fair contest in the little critters category. Maybe they'll make some news during fair season. Fun write, and spot-on lune format. judi

This is a great little poem to go with the picture. It makes me wonder if there's someone out there with a camera staring at a gerbil, desperately waiting for something cute. At any rate, it's a nice kickoff to Gerbil World.

Your posts always make me smile. "Gerb news." I love that.
Where ever did you find that delightful photo. I have to say though, the gerbil could be yawning. Or, it could be whispering. Or even giving her companion a piece of her mind. Lots of possibilities here. Interesting creatures gerbils.

I tossed a coin and yawning won.

    Yawning is definitely the funniest.

Pretty Pests, interesting, educational, well presented, creative way of thinking
to put a pest in a poem, creative use of words, wonderful creatures on a photo,
not disturbing people, not harmful, poem reflects a lot of stories, modelling is a good job for them, this post is special, because it teaches conservation of animals and teaches people how to be creative.

Good Luck!

Hey, those gerbils are adorable, but that said the cheek of your lune makes this a really fun poem. I'm still chuckling

Best of luck to you in the contest. Your humour is unparalleled.

Really Bill? You have clearly not been paying attention. The Gerbil world of sports features Gerbil Boxing, Wrasslin', furball (Kinda like football). There are the Gerbil political debates. The president has a hairstyle very similar to the Donald's. As a matter of fact I hear he is thinking the about suing the Donald for stealing his hairstyle. Yo have to pay more attention Bill.

Bill:

I just showed my 9-year-old granddaughter the picture of the two gerbils you showcased with your lune and she did not seem to agree with you about gerbil news being boring. Just goes to show you - to each, his own. thanks for sharing - good luck in the contest

Thanks, Jan, for giving this a look. I guess gerbils can be interesting. The next gerbil poem is not for nine-year-olds.

Lol! Whew - he's yawning? I was sure he was going to bite off the other one's head. Don't know much about gerbils...had dozens of "grand gerbils" but now thankfully, have grand kids instead.

Richard Gere thinks they are exciting. He left Cindy Crawford for one. He couldn't help himself. He tried to resist, but the gerbil was an animal in bed.

I heard a gerbil came out of his pooper and saw its shadow.
