Hi there,
I thought this was going to be another 'wallpaper over the cracks piece' but you surprised me with this honest portrayal of a troubled nation. Not being American myself, I think the those who have come before us would be rolling over right about now.
The US is based upon capitalism and greed primarily in modern society and socialism is a dirty word. I find it strange then that many profess it to be a Christian country - when christ is basically the biggest socialist there is.
A well written and heartfelt piece.

I get that you aren't feeling very happy with things, and if I had a Prime minister like you have, I might feel a bit miffed as well. LOL. I guess you make your own bit of paradise where you can. Your family and friends
You are not alone in your thoughts though. I sense quite a lot of disillusionment amongst American poets on this site, and they say poets are the psyche of a nation. I saw no erros and thanks for sharing your poetry, Ana.
