From the looks of it, there seem to be some heartstrings being pulled between Shana and Anderson. Only one problem. There is a barrier, preventing them from getting together. Sorry, I don't know what it is.

The barrier is Shana is a devout Jew. Anderson is not. Thank you for the kind review.

barbara:

I am writing your review as I listen to one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite singers, Kenny Chesney. My daughter is going to be so bummed she was not here as I did this (they are all down at the beach). I continue to enjoy your novel - this unexpected addition just topped it off.

Hello Barb
Stan and I wish you and your family have a nice time with each other.
I will tell you Barb you put me in a happy mood all with the dinner, the conversation and how every one danced with the music of the piano, violin, and guitar until
Shana watched Anderson walk away. Tears rolled down her cheeks, and she said under her breath. "That song was too personal. Zack did it on purpose, didn't he?
WHY did Shana get upset

Good morning, Barbara

Enjoyed the continuation. So the quiet romance between Shana and Anderson goes on despite (or in spite of) Jeff. The conversations at the diner table were spot on. I had the feeling I was there watching everything unfold. Haven't heard of this card game mentioned -- pinochle -- in a very long time. My parents and my father's brothers used to play this incessantly when I was a mere child. Well done.

Take care and stay safe,

Ray

Jeff is not a threat to Drew's and Shana's romance. He's just a trusted friend. Thank you for the kind review.

Have a lovely vacation Barbra... your writing, character development and background development... Great job... yours, diana
"Leon left and returned with two large, leather cases. "I think we need to lighten the atmosphere. Drew's arm will heal and the good guys won. We came for a celebration so let's celebrate. We can't let this get us down. We need to praise God that everything turned out as well as it did."

What sort of song was it that was so upsetting to bring tears? Why can't Shana and Drew just forget what parents want and think about what THEY want. They need to get together... but I guess that has to wait till the end after they deal with the bad guys and the mystery of the painting. :)

Wonderful details about the family in this. Anderson's reaction to the song is great. It shows that he isn't always the strong, in-charge guy he tries to be. Shana's resistance may have finally been overcome. Zachery seems to force the issue just a wee bit. I'm sure Shana is going to come around. Excellent work as always, very thoughtful. You certainly deserve a six. judi

I enjoyed this chapter very much. It seems Shana now has to speak to Drew... it will be hard for her. Have a wonderful trip and don't worry about us. Enjoy your family and don't worry about posting. We will all be here when you return.

Hello Barbara,

Just popped in to check the overflowing inbox and had a look at what Drew and Shana are up to. I think I missed a chapter but I still got the story and enjoyed the read. I wonder how Shana hurt Drew, but I'll have to wait another week (hopefully I'll check in time to catch the next chapter.)

BTW, you advertised one of your books here; was it worthwhile?

Till next. My suggestions are below.

>>He stopped and faced her.<< ~ Why is he stopping, had he been moving? The last posture he had was he "put his arms around her shoulders."

>>Shana stared as she watched Anderson walk away.<< ~ Have her stare or watch - not both.

Thank you for the suggestions and I made the corrections. The first month I paid for the advertisement did pay off. I added a second month and it did not. I don't think I got any sales from it the second time.
