What imagination. I remember those days. Nothing negative to say here. Love the poem. Love the picture attached. Great job. Good rhyme and flow. Creative and makes us yearn for days gone by. Good Luck!

I too can remember that, I'm invincible feeling from my youth, oh to have it back : ) Age, accidents, pain and reality slowly taught me the truth... when gators bite, you bleed, ha ha. Always a pleasure reading you and yours friend.

Oh yea to be young and think yourself invincible. Yikes! A scary poem as just how lucky we are as children it's like we have our very own group of angels to keep us safe from ourselves. I now my son had a whole team of angels well into his late 20's! Good write, good read.

Humorous poem of our nativity when we were young. I remember when I was eight I ran around with thumbtacks in my mouth and needle darts in my hand. I had no fear nor did I understand the consequence of swallowing a thumbtack haha. The picture of the innocent girl supplements her fearless mindset in jumping in a lake infested with gators. Very nice job!

When we were kids, we were fearless. It's a wonder we survived many of the things we went through. However, to truly live many times means to get past the imaginary wall of fear that holds us back. Well-written and said. I love the title and the picture too. Dinky Dock...awesome! Blessings! - Cathy

I adored that first line. It tells of childish innocence and their unlimited imagination. I think every little girl fancied being a mermaid and little boys wanted to be a spaceman and have his very own mermaid. Sadly, I never achieved either that accounts for my now dreaming to be a writer.
I loved the imagery and memories your poem evoked
