The following is inscribed on a a plaque affixed to the Statue of Liberty. Has anyone rubbed Donald's nose in it recently? Splendid poem and notes to accompany. I wasn't aware that Donald's blood line was so steeped in racism, but I can't say I am surprised.

This is a well researched, factual, emotional, rational poem about irrational decisions and policies being put in place by a man who in every way possible reaped the benefits of his ancestors being accepted and assimilated into this country he is now the president of. There is no reasoning. Only division and fear mongering and fueling the fire of hate and intolerance in his immigration policies. Yet he praised Putin, refuses to confront North Korea on the worst human rights violations since the Holocaust. He is not fit for office and America is NOT the country he portrays--full of apathetic anti-immigration souls. Thank you for speaking out against the injustice. we are either silent or part of the solution. Let's be part of the solution.

So far just one person saying why don?t the migrants come in legally? That is why I added the not about trump forcing them into coming in illegally. He closed or severely shortened hours at the places they can enter legally

Great history of the Trump family heritage maybe someone should remind him where he came from. Although it does not make sense it is akene to Hitler and his background history and heritage. Narsacist and sociopaths alike makes one wonder!
Nice poem very informative and well articulated. It's sad and disturbing how easily history repeats itself. The world has been fighting over the same issues for decades, generations and centuries. Racism, equality, power, religion and land. Thank you for your percpective and sharing your knowledge.

Hi, Hugh. I think the haters are just skipping. I had one person who did not understand why they HAVE to cross illegally. Trump has made sure they can?t legally claim asylum. He has closed that avenue. They are stuck at the border fir days or weeks with no money. Thank you for the great review

Then, when it was clear it was Trump, the 'chain migration' knowledge, because he's totally ignorant of anything that doesn't concern him personally, makes sense. He always, and I mean always, takes some negative that he has used and projects it on an opponent. Just as every thief considers everyone else a thief, so The Donald sees the world.
