I love all the children's stories and all those you mention here are a joy for adults too. Never let there be a time when we do not let our imagination run wild and free, your poem is freedom and liberty for our imagination, love Dolly x

Hi, June,
Thank you for sharing this lovely Terza Rima in response to the Potlatch challenge. I think the sentiment behind these words is so very true. It seems that if the initial bud of creativity isn't nurtured, a child will turn away from honing the craft.

Seeds of creativity should be well placed,
lest a young child's mind withers and goes to waste.
I so believe this as I teach 4 year olds I make them do creative writing every day. Oh how they improve through the year
God bless

Thank you for dropping by to read and review my terza rima. It was out of my comfort zone to meet this potlatch challenge but I learned something. Old or young, we need to keep our creative juices going!

"A Child's Imagination"
was well written with great theme and imagery.
It flowed well and read well with no grammar issues as well.
Adjective Content and Objective Content were excellent and Descriptive Measures aligned perfectly.

Hello June, this is a lovely addition to the potlatch group. I enjoyed it the moment I came in, the lovely picture and imaginative words about imagination and what it would be like without it, and how children have it in their lives without thinking about it.
Strong ending: Seeds of creativity should be well placed,
lest a young child's mind withers and goes to waste.
I think it is so important to make good choices when young, even though you can always change at any point, but good habits practiced early leads to a healthy and happy life.
Nothing jarred and thank you for sharing your writing, Ana.

Very well-written! I agree with you about fostering creativity and imagination in children. I did so with my son when he was young, encouraging him to read, taking him to the library, which he loved, and allowing him to invent his own games and imaginary worlds.
Your use of rhyme is excelent and creative. Well done!

This is a great challenge poem, June. Your expressed your topic well. Good job on the style of the terza rima. You did a great job with enjambment, too. Your poem tells a great story of imagination & how important it is to your children. You used some great rhymes--stagnation/imagination, cripples/ripples/triples . . .
Good job & thanks for sharing. Jan

Thank you for offering the challenge. I have learned so much from this club. I hope you will continue to inspire us to get out of our comfort zones!

Good thoughts about the importance of imagination in a child's growth. But from the allusions of the books and the TV shows, I would say it is relevant to adults, too!
