-You have a well penned poem for the contest, RodG.
-I like how your poem tells a story of
witnessing God's work.
-The imagery is very good:
"and spoke four startling words aloud."

Very intense and this piece would have stood alone without the pic, but great that you put them together. It is strong and vivid. Creative, great flow. The action within is felt and powerful. I do not often review religious themed poetry as I feel unqualified to go there, but this sort of pulled me in. Great job!!

Excellent poem and painting! The picture depicts exactly what your words convey in your poem... starting off in darkness, then the brilliant transition to the creation of life "...It seems I'm in the darkest cave
that's bitter cold, pitch-black and vast.
Then suddenly a brilliance bursts,
illuminates, leaves me aghast.." Your theme on actually being there with God, when the world was created is fascinating and so entertaining... it really does leave me wondering ... "...I imagine...." Great poem!

Hi, Rod. My goodness I haven't seen any posting by you in a long time. Better you do this than rattle off ten poems a week. I m sure you put some thought into this one and it shows, my friend. Good job. I especially liked these lines:
Then placing Light between His palms,
God rolled it round till it became
a molten mass of fiery dust.
"I call this Sun!" He did exclaim."
Bravo, Rod. Bob
