Without me goin on with superlatives, I will just say, this is beautifully written, and the reasons self explanatory.
My six stars.
Well done.
Best wishes.

Comment from Brett Matthew West
Very descriptive. The changing leaves, from green to multi-colored, are an enjoyable sight to behold. Good imagery and rhyme used throughout the poem.

Pam what a beautiful Back To Nature poem is what I call this piece. What always amazes me about leaves is that I've only pictured leaves to be green until the fall comes and they turn various shades of gold Brown and in between and this poem takes me to another dimension of color which is rust. Beautiful poem accompanied by an appropriate picture.

What a love about this poem is the complete picture it gives me. It's not just about the season or moment that we observe now, but even when we can't see it, future life is there now. As you said :
"But what we can't see is new life below
that's sprouting and spurting loudly, you know "
It would be best to see all of life like that.

Good rhyming in this poem of autumn to winter and into spring. Good imagery and illustrated beautifully with the delightful robin. Last stanza is especially well done. Marilyn

Hello Pamusart
Love how you with you poetic words describe the change of the seasons from fall fall, to winter then bring in the beauty of spring especially when the robins come and still find snow on the ground (yes here in Vermont they decide to come)

I remember studying a bird's digestive system at school years ago. It was so simple in one end and out the othe with very few kinks and corners like ours. I wonder if that is why they can cope with such a varied diet. They seem to be able to cope with things that are poisonous to us.

A very well-written poem about the transition of seasons, I am sitting here freezing of cold, although I have hope that we will soon have longer and warmer days to enjoy.
