Hi Craig, I liked the use of the chosen word in the poem, and the limerick meter read well for me. I tend to think the subject matter should be more risqué for these forms of poems. Other than that, it's another fine addition to your book.

It wouldn't be hard to produce a risque poem about the effects of cold weather, Pam!

    Many thanks,
    Craig

Great limerick, Craig. Good job with its style. Your lines flow smoothly with a great message. Who wouldn't like staying home from work because of the cold. I like the line:
'for the wind dries my skin like old leather. Your picture is a great pairing with your well chosen words. Thanks for sharing Jan

Well, thanks Craig, but I think Hubby might not be keen on me suddenly leaving for Australia. Nice little limerick, great word. I always hiemate in Sark, but wouldn't mind hiemating somewhere warmer, lol.

Well that counts out Australia, at least for the next couple of months! Maybe hubby wouldn't mind if you made sure he had a good supply of TV dinners? Many thanks, Emma :)

Thanks for teaching us another word, Craig. Your limerick is very well done. I especially like your concluding line ... "if you like, we could stay home together". ~~ Connie

This is a very well written limerick about winter. It hit me in the right spot as we are having summer here and it has been extremely hot! Very good words and well written my friend! Blessings, Teri
