A lovely piece of free verse Art, really well expressed by a loving mother - down to Earth but ever remembering - 'It is mine for the taking, a gift given at birth.
I surrender to God's full worth.' Well done and good luck in the contest' - warm regards Dorothy xx

A very unique sway of passion by this very gifted writer. I enjoyed reading this because I could feel the heart of the poet. It was perfected by it's short length and was well written. Nice job.

An introspective poem of faith, honest and beautifully written. Life does slap us around from time to time and our faith gets us through those troubling times.
Well wrtten free verse poem.

Comment from Meia (MESAYERS)
Life twists and turns and mostly it just slaps me around by it's demands... Every once in a while I'm blessed to be still, be quiet and simply, between breathing in and breathing out, I am able to transcribe moments that usually elude me in my every day, unreflective life. '
Wow. This is deep. SO well put together, I love this spiritual poem love and regards and well done Meia x

Hello, what a gorgeous poem. I really loved it. Your presentation is spot-on and the words speak for you so eloquently. I enjoyed it. Your author notes are interesting and I so get this:
Every once in a while I'm blessed to be still, be quiet and (simply), between breathing in and breathing out
Thanks for sharing this poem, which I found such a pleasure to read and review, Ana.

this is good, and I hope you don't mind my saying, I'm sorry you are slapped around by life. I guess you are unable to prevent it?
I think I understand that but for your job, you would live elsewhere?
At any rate, this is good writing - closet or no - and I hope you get to leave soon.

A beautiful peek into a serene chapter in one's life. One that we can remember and cherish when the page is turned.
I particularly liked the following lines:
Studying the loving parent,
Instinctively knowing she is me;
I forgive myself indiscretions
spun in the name of protection.
For me, this translates into the beginnings of self acceptance.

Memories...the by product of having experiences...baked in the oven of time. Can we call it God's gift, our ability to review what we have done?...It comes in handy when we want to improve or avoid future mistakes...self understanding is enlightenment indeed

There is a serenity here that I sense is fleeting. Your comments add to that. TO be sure life has us careening from disaster to disaster...and if we're lucky, mere ennui,
a dash of sadness, but rarely time for pristine pools in which to reflect and reaffirm our faith. Beautiful write.
