I don't know if what you wrote about the luncheon is current or part of your book and has already happened. So I hope you do or did really well, which I know you will. You are an incredibly writer so I'm sure you would be a good speaker as well. I will ask my sister to request your book. She gets library books all the time. She loves biographical stories so I think she would like reading it as well. Thank you for being brave enough to share your story, I'm sure it wasn't always easy. But it was spell binding at times. I do hope the book will do well, I know people would like it as much as I did. Though sad at times, it is a story of triumph and victory. Rox

It was part of the book. Thank you for reccomending it to your sister. And thanks for the stellar review.

Addiction is a nasty demon, I have lived through years of it and am happy to say I'm still living so this piece is very relatable, well written, and very insightful, great work

Clearly that "ten percent" hope was just the right proportion in your collage recipe to help you begin to "participate in your own life". Thank you again for the courage to share your detailed "metamorphosis" and for reminding us to request "Shaking the Family Tree" at our local libraries. Big cheers- Joan

Thanks, Joan. My current goal is to get it into as many libraries as possible.

A very well-written epilogue about your family and the inherited addictions over the years. The curse on the family is broken by overcoming the addiction and writing about it.
