The spelling of gray as grey makes me think that you may be a Brit, Teri. This is a good entry for the contest. Grandkids are prescious. My youngest is 15. The others are 28,22,19. All pretty good kids surprisingly. The older boys were so wild, I thought they would grow up to be not so nice men. But they are fine. Have fun with Grayson. Good luck in the contest. Thank you for sharing

Thank you so much Pam for the very nice review and comments. We are not brit, but the funny thing was that Greyson was listening to his Ipad as he grew up and they spoke British. For the longest time he had a British accent! lol love, Teri

Hello Teri
I call recall reading about Greyson when he was just a babe, and now look at him growing up to be well loved child, when you said
Every day he amazes
He's always full of
vim, vigor and so much life
Thank you God for Grey!

Such a sweet guy - and great picture of him - it's upright, too!
I can see your grandmother's heart in this poem. I think the tanka ends with 7 syllables so you need two more in the last line. Other wise, good use of alliteration and assonance in the poem.

I feel a little attachment to this angel boy....a poet aunty perhaps? He's growing before our eyes and his smile reflects your own joy at loving him and spending time with him. How joyful!

Hurrah! He's too adorable not to have lots and lots of people lining up for honorary aunty positions!

Teri,
Oh my stars. I don't even want to THINK about Harper starting preschool! I just want to think she will be mine forever. hahahaha! I can just live in a dream world until reality smacks me upside the head, right?
Only one note, sweet girl. A tanka only has five lines -- your poem has six. You may want to check on that?
Good luck!

A very well-written poem about Greyson that getting bigger and never is without a smile and seems healthy and lively. It is always a pleasure to have the grandkids around.

he is an handson little man.
I can relate with you all the way my great grand is going to be 6 DEC
And she is so advance for her age,.
I believe the children are far more advance then we were at that age. I guess they have to in this face age

Hello Teri7, a sweet, sweet poem for a handsome young man. I enjoyed reading your poem, and I could relate, especially:
He's always full of
vim, vigor and so much life
(That's a little boy for sure.)
Terrific artwork choice. I love that heart-melting smile.
As this is a contest entry, I wish you good luck. LateBloomer
