I have to admit I chuckled over this one, couldn't help it. The whole presentation absolutely perfect for the Perfect Husband...of course I did feel a little bit sorry for him. How convenient he has no family, that was a very good line...I'm still chuckling and I wish you luck in the Laughter writing prompt contest...Dinah

This sure fills the writing prompt requirement. It did produce laughter. And I would bet the old guy's smiling too. The rhyme was good and the images of this relationship are playing havoc with my mind. A fun poem

Definitely go me at the end of the poem. Lol... And it was funny that after two years, the girl said it was going to last...it's just the beginning, sounds like the end will be soon, cuz he's 93. haha.

Cheers, contestants;
-Just to question an issue unwanted your lines:
"We've been married now for two years and they said it wont'(WOULDN'T) {last} long"
Omit the word lasting the line and it should work out. That's only if you agree.
I'm not telling you anything I just see an opening here that grammar wise it could be correct?
-Good luck in the contest and take care and have a good one and your poem was really good.

I guess two years is like forever if you happen to be in your nineties when you get married. Very cute poem. Not a word of it is true except the third and fourth lines.Oh, maybe she does take good care of him. I might give her that. I like your tongue in cheek style. And you did it all in rhyme. Good job.

Dear Mystery Poet,
This is a really fun poem on a situation that happens pretty frequently in this world I imagine. She says she's taking care of him... hope so!!
Notes, if I may:
1.) mansion and driving big, flash(y) cars
2.) they said it won(')t last long
Fun!! Good luck!

Dear Anonymous Poet;
Yes, two years of marriage when the groom was ninety-one on the wedding day is quite an accomplishment. I can only imagine how much she 'didn't' marry him for the inheritance.
Good luck to you in the contest,
~patty~
