This is hilarious, Craig. It reads like a flash fiction with a great deal of miss direction as we think she's doing a sexy strip tease for her lover and then we learn she's trying to get her clothes back from he who likes to dress in silky female lingerie.

Excellent metre and a totally awesome and delightful poem. lol. It works!

Love it!

Gloria

Thanks very much, Gloria. I'm thinking it could well be the piece which results in me finally being considered a "serious" poet. Such angst, such heartfelt emotion... Cheers, Craig

I can be dense sometimes. When I realized there was only a few lines left I wondered where this was going. Well of course it was. Very funny my friend. Made me smile and this morning that is a good thing. LOL Thanks Nancy

This is hilarious Craig. You did a great job with the storyline, the rhymes, the smooth flow, the picture, & the clincher at the end. You had me thinking something else until that line. Thanks for sharing & for the laugh. Jan

Oh, you! I couldn't help but be caught up in the poem; wondering how far you would take this, and then... Well, the picture in my mind changed entirely and it just wasn't pretty!

Thank you for making my morning,

Hi,
I quite enjoyed the air of deceit you employed as your poem
Seemed to lead to....it doesn't matter now - I got it all wrong.
Clever, witty, seductive and cheeky.
Well done.
I also learnt a new word.
:-) Shirley

I like how you let a single word inspire this poem. It is fun to listen to the Speaker as he responds to each command of the woman. Because you got my imagination going long before the punch line, this deserves an excellent rating.

The punchline was priceless and worth waiting for. But the rhyme, both the internal and end of line rhyme was sensational. It's so good to find a fun piece where the humour flows as well as the flow of words
