Good aabb rhyme scheme, Pam.
Written in iambic meter for the most part, this was easy to read and featured a smooth, even cadence when read aloud.
It's nice to see she finally got that kiss she'd always dreamed of.
Hopefully everything else lives up to her expectations.

Hey Pam what a beautiful little love story quite romantic puppy love I would say starting out to be friends and she wanted more than he to be romantic. But in the wash it all works out. I'm glad you and your puppy love married. YOU had to have something going on there to stay in for 39 years CONGRATULATIONS!

Hey Pam what a beautiful little love story quite romantic puppy love I would say starting out to be friends and she wanted more than he to be romantic. But in the wash it all works out. This is the kind of stuff that fairy tales are made of! Sweet Romance and love sought = love gained... I think being good friends with someone before bringing romance into the picture is the way to go --- not a route that I personally have followed, but always thought it the most sensible, practical and protective way to pursue love.... however, the flip side of that is noted in your poem "...It might well be best if he's just her friend;
push too hard for love and friendships can end..." I have had that happen.. when I acted on my passion (after having a superficial friendship), and since I wouldn't commit (and used to be a 'player', I ended up losing a friendship that could have grown sweeter with time...
This brought some memories flooding back --- perhaps there is something I need to glean from these thoughts rather than stuffing them back into the closet..
