Hi, Bill;

Such a pleasant play on words here and great artwork to bring your words to life. I remember being drawn to the preying mantis as a child. There was a rumor about not killing them because they were so valuable to the farmers - but I might be remembering that wrong, OR it was one of those lies a big brother taunts a little sister with,

Just wiped out this review - start again. This poem, short and to the point. Like the use of prey/pray. Not exactly a heart-warming reminder of Mother Nature's survival-of-the-fittest plan. What does a praying mantis eat anyway? Insects? Weren't they the scourge on earth a while ago.? Well, insecticides took care of that, putting the mantis on the endangered species list. What's next? Marge

Bill, I've just reviewed another of your "praying mantis" poems which I found delightful. You have achieved the same outcome with this 5-7-5 poem.
