Oh yes Pam the little Lillie ponds does have way of captivating you with its beautiful array of simple nature doing its things. The frongs, the bugsthe tadpoles and yes if you bring a fishing pole you may bring fish home for dinner. Thanks for sharing. It does brings back memories.

A beautiful, vivid and picturesque poem that tells of what life is like on a lilly pond -- at least for those who take the time to really see, and study the life on and around and about a lilly pond... I agree, I absolutely love Koi fish... they wear such bright and bold outfits in a display of color, but then some also there are those who have shades and hues more subtle for the more sensitive palate... I can tell you really enjoy truly just studying and absorbing the beauty and peace that a Koi pond can offer.. .and I understand why, because of the tranquility it offers...

A very well-written poem about the life on a lily pond. There are many insects and fish around for all kinds of predators to have a feast. The frog just need to stick out his tongue to catch an insect for dinner.
