Hi there,
I liked this piece. The imagery is very strong as is the wording. I have to say though that the rhythm and flow could be improved a little with some minor tweaks here and there. it just falters ever so slightly in places.

I like the pictures in the metaphors in the poem: as a painting, a song, a used book. Even after the dire comparisons of the possibility of becoming a ghost haunting a graveyard, there is humor and at the end, the narrator puts it all in a different perspective of being watched as "show."

The private pity of one...quite brilliant indeed for you covered lives that are lacking exceedingly well in just about everything and so well written. Each verse was great, liked them all but Music I do believe was the favorite...by a mere dot. Thank you for a super read...Dinah

Excellent written is this poem with a prefect picture. The poem speaks of a pity party and with each stanza explains the inner emotions of the writer. The imagery is outstanding in the poem. This is a very sad poem that is excellently well written. The reader excepts the invitation to return.

I guess it is just human nature to feel sorry for ourselves from time to time. So many times I have felt like having a pity party, but I can never find someone to attend the party. Parties are no fun if no one comes. Patricia

Oh wow such a great description of a person who is down on themselves. And all the time I feel that that person is seeking for attention. Many many years ago I use to be right there. It feels goid when the ligh comes on and you realize you dont need the attention or the audience. Because everythibg is at your expense. And very few that attend bring good or any gifts
