I'm giving you a review, but Bill this is mighty gruesome!! A praying mantis eating bird's eyesocket's or brains is certainly info that I would not like to dwell on! Mother Nature can be so cruel and beastly!

Ewwww, You just had to do it didn't you. I never said that I doubted you, it was just a shock to learn that Mantis' had that much power and strength. Wow, I am now reevaluating my opinion of the Mantis.

Lord love a duck! What is that praying mantis doing? I had no idea they were that powerful. No wonder they consider themselves masters of the universe.
It's an insect eat bird world. Great poem and good bit of information.

Yuck! That's one of my favorite birds! Sigh. I didn't know this. I can't imagine that the mantis could even catch that fast-moving bird. I think you're making up for the horror gap left by Dean.

Oh, dear, Bill, I didn't know that the mantis would do such a horrible thing. I love the hummingbird.I've just ad the pleasure of seeing them yet again in Massachusetts. They don't exist anywhere outside the Americas. Great poem. All the best.Ulla:))
