Yes. Yes he suffered all of those things and more for us...to save mankind from sin and grant us salvation. Yes, powerful line, ""Did the 'Little Lord Jesus' lay down His Sweet Head?" But he did...that lovely memory of his birth is as true and real to
those of faith as his death. Faith encompasses Alpha to Omega.

Doc Ricky, my friend, it's so wonderful to read another one of your inspiring work. It has been a long time since I last read your posts. You still write deep and spiritual chapters that inspire people. You always did have your own special way of putting words together and coming to your meaningful messages.
I love how you delineated Jesus Christ, who is is and who he was, what he did for us and what he had to go through in order to guarantee humans a life everlasting.
Thanks you for sharing these thoughts with us, Doc. I wish I still had a six to give you.

You do a good job with images in this piece. I do think overall it could be a little stronger in terms of the actual writing of it. It seemed to be a lot of things that we've heard about the crucifixion of Jesus before all molded together. I also would eliminate the title and word count from the box where you submit it because it threw the formatting off a bit. When I read this, I felt like you had a lot of joy and praise in your heart when you wrote it. That's really the most important thing. Keep on writing!

God loves you.

Even if the reader isn't religious in the biblical sense this is an enjoyable read due to the wording and structure of the poem. And many people on FS are bible lovers so many will relate, good work

Why thanks Phillip!
I wrote this originally in the back of a 'Holy Bible' two weeks ago at one of three Churches I attend.
I think this was better than the original.
