Enjoyed the one line poem. You've said so much with so few words.. I can personally vouch regarding what feeling lonely entails -- the endless search to fill one's mind (I search the heavens) with positive images (stars do not shine) only to come up empty despite our best efforts. Well done.

Sometimes writing in the moment and not correcting in the moment is the best - here is an example of this. A powerful one-line poem - and relatable to many I'm certain. It's a feeling that comes to mind here and there - alone.

    Thank you Melanie. There were many words I could have use instead of lonely but that was the feeling.

We all have those moments when no one else is around. Sometimes, if we think of all the blessings bestowed on us, we can make our stars start to twinkle.

Excellent one line poem entry, Poet. We do need that polarity to experience life even though we heartily complain about the dark side, we do so very much celebrate the light side.

Oh, Poetwatch, this is a sad one line poem. True loneliness is to look to the heavens to find that your stars do not shine. This is a well crafted poem on loneliness that makes effective use of metaphor.

I enjoyed this poem. Even though it was somewhat sad, it was also calming and peaceful. There's always a balance between emotions and you did a good job capturing the lonely and sad side. Great job and good luck!
