Really fast paced and driven, Misty. I kept on biting a nail. For once, I have a perp of yours I'm praying the cops won't catch, lol. I can't wait for the next instalment.

They were killed in a gang-related shooting while visiting her(who is the "her" here, Misty? I got confused because Jerry is obviously a man.) parents in Chicago.

I just wish there was a simpler way to keep the ice from melting(.) She recalls the tedious preparation.

Thank you for your fantastic six-star. I'm so glad you enjoyed it and your rooting for my killer. Granny has nothing left to lose so you know she's going to give it her all, kill as many drunk drivers as she can.
Thank you for catching my two mistakes, I'll fix them now.
Thank you so much for all your help and support they always mean so much to me, take care.
Ps. have you ever tried to type with a playful kitten attacing you? It's not easy, lol.

Hi Mistydawn, I liked this chapter very much. It's well written and so full of action. So Granny has prepared herself, and is getting her revenge, and Joe has fallen in love with Rachel. An action filled chapter. All the best. Ulla:)))

Thank you so much for your kind review, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Joe is in love, but he's too stubborn to admit it. Rachel has feelings too but with Joe's mixed signals she thinks it's all one-sided, until... Can't give it all away, lol.
Thank you again for such a wonderful review and for all your support, It means a lot to me, take care.

It seems Joe has fallen in love with Rachel, having a nightmare of both their demises. The granny, who has vowed to avenge he dead grandson, who was killed by a drunk driver, is putting her dastardly plans into action, meiculiusly planning her campaign of destruction, well done, good job, blessings, Roy

Thank you so much for your wonderful review, I'm so glad you enjoyed this story. Granny has a lot more bars to hit, drunks to kill before she's through. I guess you can consider her a modern-day Carrie Nation.
Thank you again for your kind review and continuous support, take care.

I like this chapter Mistydawn
You kept a great pace keeping the reader full attention. I just wonder how Granny got so much engerey (guess she is on a rampage to kill any who she thinks is drunk even if they are in a bar only having a drink
I also wonder if she waits for the drunk to come out of the bar to attack and get her revenge?

Oh did I see a bit of romance coming about

Thank you so much for the fantastic six-star you removed all doubts I was having this idea and put a smile on my face.
Remembering how she lost her family to a drunk driver gets her adrenaline flowing. As little as she is she's going to have to do a surprise attack.
Thank you again for your friendship and support they mean the world to me, take care.

It's always nice to see people getting justified revenge, and especially, the old lady grannies. There is so much done to them in nursing homes that goes unnoticed or reported, I'm glad one is finally getting down and dirty even. LOL! Thanks for sharing. :-)

Thank you for your nice review. I'm glad you like my killer, that you're rooting for her. I'm finding this one to be a challenge. Since she can't move as fast, quick as my previous 20 somethings can; I have come up with ways she can take them by surprise make it dramatic. Luckily her victims will be drunk, that'll even her odds a little.
Thanks again for your great review, and all your support, it always means a lot to me, take care.

Whew, this is a story with a lot of curves and twists. It covers a scientific process with the ice gun, plays on the Grandma's feelings for revenge, and begins a love story. Well done on this.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful review, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Rachel feels the same, but like Joe, she denies what everyone else already knows.

Was enjoying this all the way to the end, then I kinda got lost, being the reason for the 5 stars instead of six. I like detective stories a lot and especially revenge stories when families haven't gotten the justice they deserve. But I don't know what the ice gun was (is) or how it suddenly fit in?? I wasn't sure what the reference to "all the town drunks" meant either, seemingly out of the blue. Is this how the son died, a drunk driver? Keep up the good work....

Thank you for your great review I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Yes, her son was killed by a drunk driver. I said he was killed not how and that's probably what confused you. I added by a drunk driver just now hoping that will help. The ice gun, her cane is her new weapon of choice. I'll go back see if I can reword it make it clearer too.
Thank you so much for your kind review and for catching the confusing areas, take care.

Reaching for his holster, Joe pulls his weapon from its sheath. - you don't really need from its sheath here as you've already mentioned the holster.

He locks his clip in place. - surely the weapon would already have been loaded. Most police have them loaded otherwise they could be dead before they were ready.

I generally dislike the whole dream thing. it feels like a con here at the start of the piece.

Rachel, It's Joe, there's been - it's.

The ice gun thing? I'm not sure that's a feasible thing here. Where would she have gotten that? The technology alone for something like that to keep cool wouldn't fit in her cane...

Thank you so much for your helpful review. I'm sorry you didn't like the beginning.
I took the sheath part out and said new clip instead of a clip. I added my research at the end to make the ice cane more believable. Now it reads: How she has to freeze the cane's styrofoam lining and then wrap it in foil before inserting it into her cane. The ice has to be specially made too. She's found that using boiling water and making larger cubes prolongs the melting time.
Thank you again for all your help, it's always appreciated, take care.

This story was captivating and held my interest the whole time, the dream sequence was tense and then you felt relief, it was worded well and had good dialogue.
