One of my fondest memories, some sixty plus years ago, was the magic that a kite brought flying high above everything. I still fly kites today only not as often. A very nice poem and I wish you luck in the contest.

You are most welcome, Starkat. What I like about this site, that's it not just about the writing but also the reading. Take care.

The concept is clever. I see potential for a series of stories based upon tails's tales. Please let me know if you have plans for this concept beyond the very intriguing poem you have written. Marge

Glad you enjoyed the concept. Currently, my imagination hasn't conjured up any stories, but it's fun to ponder the possibilities.

A very well-written 3-5-3 poem about kites flying in the air with their tails tell the tale of excitement in the wind while it goes higher in the air on a windy day.

Nice play on words in the last line. Excellent word economy! Fine use of internal rhyme in line two. Beautiful presentation! Love the images that your words paint. Good luck!

Hello, a lovely work that was written in the 3-5-3 format. I saw no errors and the image is a classical one, flying a kite and I like the play on words with the words 'tail' and 'tale'. I have no suggestions for improvement and thanks for sharing your poetry, Ana

Both the artwork and your short poem should appeal to young readers who enjoy flying kites. So will the rhymes in line 2 and those two homonyms in line 3.

I think this is a good entry for the 3-5-5 writing prompt.
A story of flying kites well told in so very few words.
Well done and good luck to you with this one in the competition.

Spot on with your syllables, very clever little three five three, good luck in the contest.
I liked the lift kites to new heights. Then tails tell tales is great.
