One of my fondest memories, some sixty plus years ago, was the magic that a kite brought flying high above everything. I still fly kites today only not as often. A very nice poem and I wish you luck in the contest.

Both the artwork and your short poem should appeal to young readers who enjoy flying kites. So will the rhymes in line 2 and those two homonyms in line 3.

I liked the lift kites to new heights. Then tails tell tales is great.
