Yet sadly, we still search the answers Janet. We try to make sense, not of only our own lives, which is a task within itself, but also all life, which should be simple as abc, yet it seems the rules for the fundamental reason of life is forever lost, manipulated without the morals attached. Such as you give much to being, for we hear your voice, and in many ways, we sing the same song.
Nicely written dear friend.
My best wishes.
Have a great day.

Thank you RG for your thoughtful, encouraging and extra special rating. What a nice compliment to think we sing the same song.

That is the best philosophy to take on board, one day at a time and enjoy them. This is a lovely poem, Janet, and beautifully written with smooth rhyme and rhythm. It was a pleasure to read. :) Sandra xx

"On the Verge of Wisdom", is well-written and thought-provoking piece. This talented poet's work was a delight to both read and review. I look forward to reading your next post. You KEEP WRITING and I'll KEEP READING.

You have written a great poem that allows each reader to follow along on your journey. I especially liked "A sense of wonder, joy and faith that even time cannot betray." Well done.

I can identity with this poem. What a gem! I especially like the concluding verse: "I've learned that life is what you give--
Rejoicing in each brand-new day.
A sense of wonder, joy, and faith
That even time cannot betray."
Thanks for sharing!

Hi Janet. That seems like an interesting class based on the book. There is always something refreshing to look forward to, taking each day as it comes. I enjoyed your fine poem and author's notes. I'll look for the book at the library. Your poem is nicely rhymed with good flow. Marilyn

In this poem, we learn that life is worth living, for its own sake. Loved that last line. "That even time cannot betray." We never quite achieve overall wisdom, an overall view of what this life is about, but the journey is wonderful, full of pleasure and pain, hope and loss, and that's what makes life. estory

Wisdom is gained all throughout your life..but the knowledge of how to live life to the fullest and do as many good deeds and kindnesses as you can along the way, is what makes life meaningful. Thanks for sharing.

Hey JMF the last line was powerful to me in that:
"that even time cannot betray."
It presumes that we feel time has a way to cut us off at the past and I believe most would feel weary of what time brings. good read. yours, diana

Wisdom comes from experience which comes from mistakes which come from action. I suspect wisdom isn't having the answers to all questions, it's knowing when not to act. :) Nancy
