Great story with a happy ending. It reminds me that time can heal.....we just have to let the time pass until we start seeing the new blades of grass begin to grow. Very nicely done!

I wanted to find out where the bear was? I guess that means it drew me in.
Good luck in the flash writing contest. I hope its a cave with peeking grass rather than the whale's belly. Good luck for your contest.

And as always these stories written with only one hundred and fifty words are to my liking with yet with a sigh, as some are truly great and care to read on to get hold of what comes next. You wrote it very well and left me, saying "Oh, no not again... " much as the story had a beginning and an end. It left me wanting more!

A lot of good imagery, and a strong message of never giving up add another dimension to this well crafted story. Should make an interesting entry into this contest.

Hey Liz great writing with a lot of imagery and Mystic sentences. The artwork also has that mystic look to it. The green leaf represents life and to me its hope springing up in the midst of despair which is represented by the darkness in the background. And it appears that Bea is faced with revisiting a tragic past that wasnt so pleasant. Liz if I missed the concept. Please enlighten me.

I like the storyline and the characters. The story reads a little to edited. I really like the atmosphere you created, it was easy to visualize.

Great job! I loved this story, you included excellent imagery. I also loved your sentence variety which made the story flow very well. One more thing as well I absolutely loved the message that even when something seems hopeless or destroyed life can still grow there no matter what.

Thank you for your consideration. I'd love some feedback. Actually most of my submissions here are some cuttings and modifications of my Part 2 not yet published. They are all fun except for the rainbow one, about my MaineCoon cat traveling to the Bridge of Rainbows.

ok, I'll be sure to give you some feedback then
