Debra, hello... I think this is my first read of your work and I like it. This is a very good entry for the Cinquain poem contest. You have written a clever and amusing piece that left me with a smile on my face and made me read it more than once. Very entertaining and a good contender. ~DD

Haha looks like little book worm has to fucking well go hungry until the next publication LOL
Hope it IS actually in the works or that little wriggler is going to die of starvation.
Loved this juicy ode to recycled timber. Some deliciously placed adjectives. Lets hope Wormy can hold out.
Maybe hibernate for a bit LOL
Noooooo, I'm kidding.

Debra,
I've several entries today for this cinquain contest. It should be rather challenging for those contest judges. Fortunately, there are some poems -- like yours -- that rise to the top of the pile. *smile*
As a writer of romance books, I am thrilled to see a reader eager for more. That makes my heart go thumpity-thump. hahahahaha!
Thanks so much for the smile and much luck to ya!

What a big smile you put on my face!!!
Poetically, you have described the very feeling a lover
of reading (especially fiction) knows only too well...
Give me a big fat book, and I am in heaven....except
when I realize I'm almost to the final page...and there's
no sequel published yet.
LOL - the emotional yin and yang of Bibliophilism!

Hi Debs,
I recently renewed my membership and so happy to see your post in the message.
This is a lovely Cinquain. Fine use of personification, which is quite appealing. This thought is so relatable. Same happenes with TV series too. You've utilized every syllable effectively. This has smooth flow as well, which is difficult to attain in short poems. I enjoyed reading it. Good luck!
Regards,
Anupam

What a clever little idea for this sweet Cinquain. Well described and equally familiar description of those of us who love books. Humorous and well done.

I think this is a good entry for the Cinquain Poetry writing prompt.
Your short verse carries a clear and fun story of the bookworm craving more.
Well done and good luck to you with this one in the competition.

Comment from rama devi
Nice personification in this well penned cinquain. Excellent opening and closing...like bookends (pun intended). The consonance of S and Z work well in counterpoint with C and Q. Sounds good read aloud. Good flow. Fun meaning.
Good luck!
