I am glad you were inspired by the Club's Potlatch and shared these reflections about echos. It is so fitting that the last stanza echoes the first. I admired your rhymes and reflections, plus the "cathedral hall" metaphor as well. Cheers- Joan

What a great choice of topic for your La'Tuin poem! I felt like I was right there, too, listening for the echo, waiting for it to make its journey back. Wonderfully clever imagery and description. I really enjoyed this creative and well written piece! :)

Yes indeed!
Another poetic story which eloquently captures the joy of the sound of an echo. There is a certain beauty in the cacophony of sounds which can resonate around an echo chamber.
It seems there a fewer places where one will encounter the opportunities to hear echos.
Another beautiful piece which takes me back to a different time.

really, really good, Damom. this is such a cool form of poetry. the possibilities are wide open. thanks for letting me know about this. Question: the word 'complete' appears in 3 out of 4 stanzas, coincidence?.........meeshu

Ooops! I'll take another look. Thanks for reviewing.

Two of the 'completes' are part of the poem. There is one extra that shouldn't be there. Thanks for pointing that out, but I think I'll leave it this time.

I thought it might be a rule in this complex form. I'm trying one now....meeshu

Love your picture. I play taps at military funerals and when there are two buglers we play echo taps. It is special. But it is a challenge as trust must be there by both buglers. And it something that is appreciated as is your poem.

I've heard Taps played that way. It's so beautiful. How talented you are.
Thanks for a lovely review, Frank.

i wonder if you know how very talented you are? This is beautiful Yvonne - I love every word, but my favorite passage is, "...abiding majesty makes so small the woes we have to face and greet..." Doesn't it though? I need that canyon right about now...

I know what you mean. I had to take Mother to the hospital tonight. She has double pneumonia. She's 96 and has Alzheimer's. They will keep her a few days. I could use that echo right now, too.
Thank you for your lovely comments. I can't tell you how much that means to me.

Oh my! What a pretty poetry form!! You know...I don't believe I've ever, to my memory, echoed. Odd, because it's so poetic, isn't it? This is quite lovely Miss Yvonne!!
Blessings...

This is a very beautiful poem you have penned in the La' Tuin format. You used very good descriptive words and lovely art work. My favorite part was:
All the while I sit here quite complete
in thoughts brought by this windy route.
Abiding majesty makes so small
the woes we have to face and greet.
I enjoyed it very much! love, Teri

Love the rhyme pattern used here. It looks hard to write, but it reads smoothly and naturally. There are so many ways of rhyming, and this is one of the best yet. :)

Hello damommy
Smiles you are so good with the format (La'Tuin)
I believe this one (Echo) I can envision my self
sitting on the tip of a Vermont Mountain and my echo soars with the wind back to where I'm sitting
Excellent
