I love word play and this is the epitome of same. I read some of the replies and got an Excedrin headache #10. I simply believe one way - until something better comes along and then I believe that way..ad Nauseum.

Thank you. You see it my way. I once interviewed for a job and was asked a question, "What have you learned from your life experience?" I replied that I spent the first 1/3 of my life learning, the next 1/3 was discovering what was not true. The final 1/3 will be spent correcting all that I got wrong. What is left will die with me and be lost forever.

I can agree. Truth requires all and all require truth, even if all are one or one is all. Do you know any true belief that is not truth? If not true, not God. I not God, not true. All is one universe. Any value or thing to zero exponent is One. No exponent for God, or Universe. Any fact has at least 1 for exponent, true or false, not both and never neither. Fractional exponent equals more than zero, less than one. I am happy to be a part, not everything. God bless Taoists, some of many. Many sought, but few are chosen.

well said. the sage does not seek to be right, only true.

I used to say in answer to my children's questions, "That is true that it is true, but it is not right."

Taoism does not distinguish between universal truth and facts. Facts are temporary moment to moment in space and time. It is akin with Gnostic Gospel of Truth, in that The Christ represents factual truth and God is Universal Truth. God as fact and God as The All. Or, Gnostic Truth is akin to Taoism, the elder. Pantheism is one of the human faiths for consideration on the merits. Facts are infinite with The All, but Truth never changes. To be, or to become, or to change are all matters of truth, but the very concepts of being apply to 'not being' as truth. Matters of fact are temporary and space, time, energy of the Einstein theory. Fixation in the moment of 'truth' is true today, but gone tomorrow. It is too deep to sort out in our changing "All".

I would say simply there are no absolutes, all is in a constant state of change......meeshu

True for fact but truth does not change, only facts change. Difference. Truth is One and cannot be false, but facts are infinite and temporal true or false. True that it is or true that it is not true. Not true that it is not true and true that it is true. God is One. Truth is God.

I think that what you mean is that we cannot detect perfection with imperfect senses. But, I say we can have faith in perfection as a religious faith and/or faith in reason and intuitive belief in God as the epitome of perfection that we cannot sense directly, but only with the faculty of our faith in science and belief, reliability, and persuasion. Our number for Pi is an example, where we can know that Pi is between 3.1 and 3.2, or 3.14 and 3.15, or between 3.141 and 3.142, or any significant number for the purpose that we use it.

I like to quote Plato, "a Perfect circle can never be created on Earth. yet, Every human brain can imagine one". I think this speaks to so-called Blind faith.......meeshu

Pi lies between 3.1 and 3.2, between 3.14 and 3.15, between 3.141 and 3.142, between 3.1416 and 3.1417, or to any fraction needed for the accuracy required for the purpose. It is the blind faith in the perfection as a being approachable, but not reachable with certainty that creates the magic of mathematics, science, engineering and architecture. Truth is approachable with blind faith in gods, God, Allah, or Jehovah. But it is truth that we mean when we think, God. God only knows, we cannot. All is true, whether we know it, or even believe it. Truth lives in all that is true.

Brings up many issues for me. I like the line about milk and honey-how all American. And everything about God always makes me think, why do we have to ID who or what God is or might be. Great work

Thank you. Just thinking. I write, God creates. What I write is true before I write it or not true at all.

Another poem with play on words that the reader really enjoyed. The poem has lots of emotions and imagery. I really enjoyed.

Thanks Harry. I like to see the extremes and all the images between the extremes. Pick the one you want. If your head is in an oven and your feet in a fire, on the average, you are comfortable. NOT!
